What's included

Typical tile installation scope

Every project is different. These are the pieces we most often plan, supply and install as part of tile installation.

  • Floor tile
  • Shower and tub surrounds
  • Kitchen backsplashes
  • Wall and feature tile
  • Large-format porcelain
  • Pattern layouts

Layout first, then tile

We find the center lines, plan where cuts will land and check that the pattern lines up with windows, cabinets and doorways. That planning is what separates professional tile from tile that just covers a surface.

  • Balanced cuts at walls and edges
  • Aligned grout lines across rooms
  • Clean outside corners and edge trim

The right base for every surface

Floors need a stiff, flat substrate. Showers need proper waterproofing. Backsplashes need straight, clean walls. We prepare each surface for the tile and setting materials being used.

Patterns and large-format tile

Herringbone, stacked, offset and large-format porcelain all need extra care to look right. We help you choose patterns that fit the room and handle the precise setting they require.

For layout inspiration, see our guide to bathroom tile patterns, from running bond and herringbone to grid-pattern walk-in showers.

FAQ

Tile Installation FAQs

Have another question about tile installation? Call (425) 737-5220 or send us a message and we will get back to you quickly.

Ask us a question
Do you install tile I already purchased?

Yes. We check the quantity and type first so you have enough for cuts and waste, usually around 10 to 15 percent extra.

How long does tile take?

Backsplashes often take a day or two. Floors and showers take longer because setting materials and grout need time to cure.

What is the best tile for a shower?

Porcelain is durable and low-maintenance. Smaller tiles on shower floors add grip. We will walk you through options that fit your style.

Can you tile over existing tile?

It is sometimes possible, but we usually recommend removal so we can inspect and prepare the substrate properly.
